In Winter: Pure Snow Paradise
Alpine Skiing & Snowboarding: Two areas for the price of one.
When staying in La Gouille, you have a choice between two atmospheres:
Arolla (5 min away)
A human-scale resort with slopes reaching up to 3000m altitude. Natural snow guaranteed and no queues at the foot of the glaciers.
Evolène - Chemeuille (10 min. away)
A gentler ski area offering breathtaking views of the Dent Blanche and the valley. It's the perfect playground for families.
Ski touring: Arolla is the legendary route of the Patrouille des Glaciers. A variety of itineraries for all levels throughout the Val d'Hérens region.
Cross-country skiing: Trails winding through larch trees offer a magical setting and a unique Nordic experience. The trailhead is easily accessible from the chalet.
Snowshoeing & Winter Hiking: From the chalet in La Gouille, put on your snowshoes and set off to discover the frozen Lac Bleu , a magical sight under the snow. For a gentler experience, the region's forest trails lead you to alpine pastures in absolute tranquility.

Hiking: Staying in La Gouille puts you in the heart of a hiker's paradise with routes to suit all tastes:
Blue Lake (starting from the chalet): The jewel of the region, accessible in 45 minutes. A climb through larch trees leads to crystal-clear water and breathtaking views of the glaciers.
The Great Peaks & Huts: For the more athletic, head to the Cabane des Aiguilles Rouges or the Cabane de la Tsa. Arolla is also the starting point for unforgettable glacier hikes.
From valley bottom trails to panoramic walks, the region offers a multitude of marked trails to discover the fauna, flora and magnificent landscapes of this region.
Mountain biking & e-biking: The Val d'Hérens is an exceptional playground for cycling. Marked trails wind through alpine pastures, offering varied routes between Arolla and Evolène. The Chemeuille ski lifts are equipped to transport your bikes for descents with views of the Dent Blanche.
Climbing & Via Ferrata: Gain height between sky and rock: from the thrills of the Via Ferrata of Evolène to the purity of the granite of Arolla, experience the mountain vertically.
